Back to School Online Photo Contest

The Story

When Back to School season rolls around, we can hardly wait to see snapshots of our loved ones heading out to conquer their first days of school.  So during Rack Room Shoes’ inaugural Back to School Photo Contest, they asked people to dive into their photo collections – and share their best school memories.

Rack Room Shoes committed to giving away a MacBook laptop to five winners, and each were asked to name a favorite school to receive a $10,000 computer lab grant.  Winning entries were selected from the pictures that received the most votes during the voting period.

The Results

Rack Room Shoes was able to connect with their consumer base beyond meeting them in local stores, while showing how the brand believes in the importance of being a good neighbor.   Additionally, they created memories of their own by visiting a variety of communities they serve across the country, while developing relationships with dedicated teachers, faculty, parents and students.
