Will work for thank yous
People work hard for a lot of reasons. For a paycheck. For benefits. To contribute to a project or company they believe in.
But surprisingly enough, a lot of people — including the team here at Full Circle PR — work for thank yous. When we receive an incredible love note from a client telling us their event was a slam dunk because of the work we put into it, it’s incredibly motivating and validating about why we do what we do. We believe in our clients’ work, and we believe the results reflect that passion.
We had the amazing good fortune to partner recently with DonorsChoose.org, as they made the announcement, alongside Stephen Colbert, Share Fair Nation and Greenville, S.C posologie viagra 25mg.-based ScanSource, that every classroom project posted in South Carolina would be funded on May 7, 2015. This equated to more than $800,000 in classroom resources benefiting over 800 teachers at 375 schools.
We knew about the surprise party for two months prior, and let me tell you, keeping that kind of positive secret from the world was no small feat! But knowing we were going to play a role in surprising and celebrating a very deserving public school teacher, Mr. Damon Qualls, as he learned his entire state was going to be flash funded, was worth keeping our lips sealed.
We planned, we scouted, we organized, we held meetings, we packed boxes, we held test runs, we held MORE test runs, and then, we waited. Waited for the big reveal to happen. And it was amazing.
(If you want to watch the full news report, the TODAY Show did a great job recapping the event: http://www.today.com/video/stephen-colbert-to-fund-1-000-school-grants-in-south-carolina-441975363708).
That alone would’ve been enough for us to high five around the office and enjoy the fruits of our labor. But then we received THIS email from Chris as DonorsChoose.org:
A simple thank you from a client we respect and admire was the absolute best part of this whole project. Knowing we helped them achieve what they wanted is the reason we come bounding into work each day. We helped them make their job a little easier – and that’s why we do what we do.
