Seize the day!
Any ideas as to what the 2013 top ten most stressful jobs in America are? Chances are, you’d probably think of occupations such as military personnel, FBI agents or airline pilots.
You might be interested to know that according to CareerCast.com, Public Relations comes in at number five.
Seriously? Number five? I smiled when I heard this on the radio driving to work earlier this week. Yes, PR can be stressful like many other careers, but overall I love my job.
Not too many people can say they get to draft ad copy for a national shoe store, travel the country with Kyle Petty and talk about sea turtles all day long, but I do. And even though we work with awesome clients, I honestly believe the true reason I really enjoy what I do, is a result of our positive and fun workplace environment.
When was the last time you laughed at work? Here at Full Circle PR, I find myself laughing all the time. (Source of today’s laughter.) We work hard, but we play hard too. It’s evident by our team that this mindset has helped us build strong relationships, increase creativity and produce great work overall.
Especially in agency life where accounts are always changing and client needs can arise unexpectedly, stress can build up fast – it’s important to loosen up and find humor in your day-to-day workload. You spend an average of 40 hours a week in the office, make the most of it!
