Quarterly check-ins help internal communications

One of the questions I receive when interviewing possible employee candidates is: “How often is your evaluation process?”

If you haven’t had the luxury of working at a firm without a consistent evaluation process in place, let me tell you:

It can be frustrating!

Most employees want to know:

  • How am I doing?
  • What could I be doing better?
  • What is the next step for me here?
  • How can I grow?

Full Circle PR has implemented 90-day evaluations since the beginning of the firm.  Liza and I believe in over-communicating.  We want to know what’s going on and assume that the rest of our team does, too.  We discuss areas of excellence, areas of opportunity and next steps.

It gets so busy around here that if we didn’t take the time to talk with our employees on a one-on-one basis about their performance, it might never happen.  And that would be a shame.
