Do you love your customers? How do you count the ways?
It’s Valentine’s Day, and there’s a feeling of love in the air.
Hopefully all of you received some sort of nice note from a loved one, a friend, a colleague today. (Or passed along a nice note yourself).
In the spirit of Cupid, I wondered how many companies take the time to share that love feeling along to their customers? Sure, we all talk a big game about “listening” to our audience and “engaging” with them. (I’m using air quotes, can you see them??). But do we really follow through? Do we really show our loyal, wonderful, valued customers how much we love them??
Often times, I think not.
Today, on Valentine’s Day, I encourage all of us to take a minute out of our hectic, meeting-filled, over-promised schedule to reach out to a customer to tell them how much they mean to us. Not a manufactured, prefabbed, generic Facebook post to your fans. I mean really connecting with just one customer today to tell them how much you enjoy working with them and what they mean to your brand. That one conversation could be the start of something bigger.
