Ask your audience what they want, need
It can be easy for PR practitioners to get caught up in day-to-day activities for clients. It almost feels like a bubble where we’re disconnected from what’s going on “in the field.”
To stay in tune with what our audiences want and need, while connecting on a more personal level with editors, bloggers and a client’s audience, we take the time to do the following:
- Connect with key individuals at trade shows
- Send out questionnaires to get honest feedback on how we can enhance our programs
- Simply ask for advice on how we can better serve them
The results? Lots of ideas to enhance our current capabilities, while refining the way we do certain things, such as distribute news releases, pitch ideas, etc.
