Benefits of online tools – family style

I love putting furniture together – wonder where I got that from!

Most of my family – parents, in-laws, nephews, cousins and aunts – lives in and around the Charlotte, N.C. area.

And while we get to see them quite a bit (we’re lucky because my husband and I own a condo up there), it’s nice to stay in touch for the day-to-day moments, as well as during the holidays, family/friend events and summer outings.

Of course, online tools are helpful in connecting brands and key audiences, but I’m grateful that they also  help  us stay in touch on a personal level.

My parents were nice enough to buy a new outside fan for our porch.  Once they installed it this morning, my dad use his iPad to take pictures and video of the fan working.  It’s little things like this that help me stay connected to them, to my sister-in-law who has two awesome boys and to my in-laws who are always up to something!

We tend to always think of social media in professional terms; but I’d love to hear from you on how you use social media channels to stay in touch with family and friends.
