Twitter updates nod to the power of competition

Twitter is stepping up their social media game as they announce the addition of Brand Pages – a tool where brands can engage and interact with followers on a deeper level.  Mimicking that of Facebook’s and Google+, the addition of Brand Pages to Twitter is simply their efforts to remain in forefront of the ever-evolving world of social media.  And to their competitor’s credit, imitation is the greatest form of flattery.

As I was reading about Twitter’s new features on Mashable and how it is taking on competitors, I started to think about the power of competition – how it drives the human spirit.  Great innovation is spurred by competition.

This is true in our own office.
