National Fishing and Boating Week

This week is National Fishing and Boating week coordinated through the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation.  It runs through June 12 and coincides with the free fishing days many states host.

We have the good fortune to live in what I consider one of the most beautiful corners of the world in Greenville, S.C.  We’re an hour away from mountain lakes, a few hours away from the coast, with lots of state parks dotted along the way.  We love to take advantage of our natural resources as much as we can.  Check out this photo I took a few weeks ago – my husband and oldest son taking a spin around Paris Mountain State Park by way of canoe.

There’s still time to enjoy National Fishing and Boating this week.  But even if you can’t get out on the water this weekend, there’s a whole summer ahead of us to get out there and enjoy.

Will you be taking part in any of the free fishing days happening this weekend?  Or are you taking any fishing trips this summer? Where are you headed?  We’d love to hear from you!

See you out there.
