Greetings from Las Vegas!

Kim and I are enjoying the opportunity to attend this year’s HD Expo conference in Las Vegas this week. (Nice business trip destination, right?)

Because conferences and trade shows only come around a few times a year for us as public relations representatives, phone calls and email help us stay connected with members of the media and industry contacts in between events. Social media also does a great job of helping us (and our clients) share news and information, reach out to people we might not have connected with otherwise and maintain an online presence so we can be easily engaged with online.

But this week’s event has reminded us how face-to-face interactions remain vital to maintaining a professional relationship. Not only can we put a “name with a face” for the folks we have interacted with from a distance, but we’re also meeting new contacts who bring their own interesting perspectives on industry trends to the table. We’re learning and gathering valuable insight that we’ll use help take the public relations efforts of our clients to the next level – and we may not have had this opportunity without traveling to this event.

We’re just one day into HD Expo, and we are already expanding our network and seeing the benefits of gathering with other like-minded professionals. Stay tuned for more updates to come!
